Is Hood Warfare 2 worth it?
Hood Warfare 2 is a $5.99 Windows game by Trapstar Games. This page collects Steam’s own review summary. It is not a critic score I assigned.
Source checks
At 08:16 UTC on 13 October 2026, the Steam review API returned 848 reviews: 669 positive and 179 negative, summarized as Mostly Positive. The query uses all languages and purchase types; it is not the narrower Steam-purchase tooltip. The current US offer is $5.39, with a $5.99 list price. We have not played the game or assigned a critic score. The app-details payload has no Metacritic field; that alone does not prove no critic has reviewed it.
What buyers have said in public
On a Reddit thread in r/FPS, participants called it funny, mentioned drive-bys and discussed the low price. These are community opinions, including self-reported purchases; we have not independently verified ownership.
What the negative threads are about
Steam discussions include reports of crashes, audio problems, host changes, bots and requests for party invites. Patch 1.0.10 lists voice, anti-cheat, spawn changes and specific bug fixes. It does not establish that startup crashes, audio complaints or party requests are resolved.
Some videos and threads argue about offensive language in the game. The store’s own content descriptors are Violence, Blood, Crude Humor, and Profanity. The studio’s disclaimer says the game is fiction and does not condone real gang violence. Read that before you buy if the tone is a deal-breaker. I am not scoring the controversy.
Who should consider it?
Editorial assessment from public sources, not a playtest: consider it if you want a low-cost Windows multiplayer shooter, accept its crude humor and are comfortable with launch-week issues. Steam explicitly describes six objectives and custom bot matches.
Wait or choose another game if you need a verified friend-party workflow, a console version, a campaign or the original game’s Zombies mode. Watch actual match footage and read recent Steam reviews before buying. A positive aggregate does not predict your hardware or connection experience.
Questions
What score does this site give it?
None. We do not publish our own star rating. The figure above is Steam’s review count on 13 October 2026.
Is it “better than Call of Duty”?
That sentence is a YouTube title, not a test we ran. The games differ in price, studio, and platform set. See the comparison page.
